Welcome to Brentwood Bound.

We are the tiniest (and only!) bookstore in Brentwood Bay.

We offer a curated selection of seasonally rotating titles in art, literary fiction, lifestyle, cookbooks, and children’s literature. Our titles are notable, nearly new, collectable, and lightly used. We aim to support the work of authors who are local, women, Indigenous, Black, Persons of Colour, or any intersectional combination thereof and who have been historically overlooked in publishing.

And did we mention, we are located inside Beauregard Commons/Bicycle Pizza? So get something to read while you grab a pizza or a coffee. What could be better than that?

Brentwood Bound is owned and operated by writer and curator Kim Dhillon.

Access

The shop is indoors in a cafe in a strip mall next to another shop, a cannabis retailer, and behind the RBC and cold beer and wine store. There is a ramp leading into the shop. There is another ramp from the cafe area to two adjoining shops, from which there are two accessible toilets. There are disabled parking bays in the parking lot of the strip mall. There is usually music playing in the cafe.

The cafe sells lunch items, pastries, and coffees, but you aren’t obligated to buy anything to look at the books. (But if you are going to eat and drink and look at a book, please buy it first, or it can get damaged). There’s no obligation to talk to me :) There are seats and tables in the cafe.

Books are priced on the back cover, usually on a white sticker. The books are loosely categorised by fiction, cookbooks, art books, and kids' books and aren’t really organized within that.

If there’s anything I can do to make your visit easier, please email me, and I’ll try to accommodate.
